A Hidden Gem in Plumstead – The Pantry Coffee Shop I stumbled across The Pantry Coffee Shop in Plumstead quite by chance while looking for a place to grab a coffee before an appointment nearby. A quick Google search led me there — and I’m so glad it did. From the moment I arrived, the vibe of the place was welcoming and relaxed. It’s not a massive space, but that’s part of its charm. The cozy interior, inviting atmosphere, and thoughtfully laid-out seating made it the perfect stop for a quiet morning coffee. What really stood out was the service. Despite it being early in the morning, the staff were warm, friendly, and efficient — setting the tone for a great start to the day. I ordered a chai latte while my mom went for a regular coffee. Both drinks arrived promptly and at the perfect temperature — something many coffee shops often miss, especially with chai lattes. To top it off, each drink came with a complimentary biscuit shaped like a heart — a lovely touch that made the experience feel that much more personal. I also tried their almond croissant, which was exceptional. It was fresh, beautifully crisp on the outside, and soft and buttery on the inside — one of the best I’ve had in a long time. On my way out, I grabbed a pack of their homemade chocolate biscuits, and they were equally delightful. Whether you're a local or just passing through Plumstead, I highly recommend stopping by The Pantry. Great service, excellent coffee, and top-tier baked goods — it’s definitely a spot worth visiting. P.S - They also have a loyalty program that will really benefit coffee lovers

It was a truly unforgettable experience; the staff went out of their way to ensure my experience was perfect. The shop was packed, but they made me feel special. The food was lovely, fine dining quality, but with little wait. I had the eggs Benedict and can highly recommend it. It tastes stunning on a croissant that they make themselves at their bakery in Muizenberg. The decor is lovely — pink couches, beautiful paintings. One thing to consider is finding a table when it's busy, and when it is complete, the shop warms slightly. Overall, it was a lovely experience; they will be back for their daily coffee specials. Eddie and spell check.
